Vorbereitung auf die Wiederkunft Jesu
Of course. I can help with that. What would you like to know about preparing for the second coming of Jesus? Are you interested in a general overview, or do you have specific questions in mind?

In her writings, Ellen White draws a parallel between the disciples' preparation for Christ's first coming and our preparation for His second coming. She points out that the disciples were not ready for the events of the crucifixion and resurrection, even though Jesus had told them what was to happen. She wrote, "Before his crucifixion the Saviour explained to his disciples that he was to be put to death, and to rise again from the tomb; and angels were present to impress his words on minds and hearts. But the disciples were looking for temporal deliverance from the Roman yoke, and they could not tolerate the thought that He in whom all their hopes centered should suffer an ignominious death. The words which they needed to remember were banished from their minds; and when the time of trial came, it found them unprepared." (GC88 594.1) She then applies this lesson to those living in the last days: "So in the prophecies the future is opened before us as plainly as it was opened to the disciples by the words of Christ. The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly brought to view. But multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready." (GC88 594.1) Based on this, a key aspect of preparation is to study and understand the prophecies. Furthermore, the experience of the early believers who were waiting for Jesus's return is presented as an example. Their preparation was not about outward appearances but about the condition of their hearts. "Believers carefully examined every thought and emotion of their hearts as if upon their death-beds and in a few hours to close their eyes upon earthly scenes... all felt the need of internal evidence that they were prepared to meet the Saviour; their white robes were purity of soul,—characters cleansed from sin by the atoning blood of Christ." (4SP 227.3) After Christ's ascension, the disciples gathered together and prepared for the promised Holy Spirit through introspection and unity: "Here they spent ten days, days of deep heart searching. They put away all differences and drew close together in Christian fellowship." (8T 15.2) In summary, preparation for Jesus' second coming involves: 1. **Studying the prophecies** to understand the events that will take place. 2. **Engaging in deep heart-searching** and seeking purity of soul through Christ. 3. **Putting away differences** and coming together in Christian fellowship. 4. **Resting in sweet communion with God.** (4SP 227.3)
