Amos 4:11
"I have overthrown some of you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and ye were as a firebrand plucked out of the burning: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the Lord."
"Then the Angel, who is Christ Himself, the Saviour of sinners, puts to silence the accuser of His people, declaring, “The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?” Verse 2 . Long had Israel remained in the furnace of affliction. Because of their sins they had been well-nigh consumed in the flame kindled by Satan and his agents for their destruction, but God had now set His hand to bring them forth. PK 584.1"
Both passages use the imagery of being 'plucked out of the fire' to represent deliverance from destruction. While not a direct quote, the thematic connection is strong.
Amos 4:12
"Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel: and because I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy God, O Israel."

"‘repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” As a people who believe in Christ's soon appearing, we have a message to bear—“Prepare to meet thy God.” Amos 4:12 . Our message must be as direct as was the message of John. He rebuked Kings for their iniquity. Notwithstanding that his life was imperiled, he did not hesitate to declare God's word. The EGW passage directly echoes the sentiment of Amos 4:12, which is a call to prepare to meet God. The idea of preparing a people to stand in the day of God is a clear application of the principle found in Amos.

EGW directly quotes Amos 4:13.
