"Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped."

The rescue of Grynaeus from his persecutors, as described in the EGW quote, thematically parallels the imagery of Psalm 124:7, where the soul escapes like a bird from the snare of the fowler. Both passages convey a sense of deliverance from danger.
