"Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."
The phrase 'life from the dead' is a clear parallel between the two passages. Romans 6:13 speaks of yielding oneself to God as those alive from the dead, while the EGW passage uses the same imagery to describe the transformative effect of selfless service.
