"Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings."
EGW directly alludes to the concept of robbing God, as presented in Malachi 3:8, and applies it to the misuse of funds intended for the poor.
"Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me."
