"This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes."
Both passages discuss the desertion of Paul by some of his companions during his imprisonment. The EGW passage elaborates on the circumstances and provides more detail, but it clearly echoes the sentiment expressed in 2 Timothy 1:15.
