"Then Satan triumphed. He had made others suffer by his fall. He had been shut out of heaven, they out of Paradise. EW 149.1"
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!"
Both passages connect Satan's fall from heaven with the suffering of others. The Isaiah verse is a direct reference to Lucifer's fall, and the EGW passage directly links this fall to the expulsion of Adam and Eve from Paradise.
