"But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."
Both passages address the responsibility that comes with knowledge and opportunity. EGW's statement about the solemn obligation and the need for broader vision reflects the principle in Luke 12:48 that those who have been given much will be expected to do more.
