"And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren."

"Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands."
Both passages encourage the individual to cultivate and utilize the gifts and graces that God has given them. Paul encourages Timothy to 'stir up the gift of God,' while EGW encourages leaders to improve every privilege and go back with renewed grace and power.
