"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
The EGW passage directly reflects the principle of reaping what you sow, particularly in the context of sin and its consequences. The idea of not being able to deceive God is also present in both.
"Angels of God have kept a faithful record of every act, however secret you may have thought you were in its committal. God discerns the purposes of man and all his works. Every man will be rewarded according as his works have been, whether good or evil. That which a man sows will he also reap. There will be no failure in the crop. The harvest is sure and plentiful. You have tried to blind your brethren in regard to your course. How could you do so, when you knew that you were guilty in the sight of God? The EGW passage explicitly uses the phrase 'That which a man sows will he also reap,' which is a direct quote from Galatians 6:7. The surrounding context in EGW further reinforces this connection.
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
Both passages refer to a divine record of deeds and judgment based on those deeds. Revelation 20:12 describes the books being opened, while EGW speaks of angels keeping a faithful record. The theme of judgment according to works connects them.
