"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
Both passages use the metaphor of water to represent spiritual refreshment and eternal life. The EGW passage speaks of being refreshed by drafts from the Fountain of life, while John 4:14 speaks of a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
