"read a text and meditate upon it. While walking in the streets, waiting at a railway station, waiting to meet an engagement, let him improve the opportunity to gain some precious thought from the treasure house of truth. CT 463.1"
"And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
Both passages encourage the constant consideration of God's word throughout the day. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs to talk of the commandments in all situations. EGW encourages using spare moments to meditate on scripture. The connection is strong and thematic.
