Both passages emphasize learning from Christ. Matthew 11:29 is Christ's invitation to learn from Him, and the EGW passage speaks of Christ as the greatest teacher and the importance of learning from Him.

The EGW passage directly reflects the idea of Christ as an example to follow, as stated in 1 Peter 2:21. It elaborates on the means to achieve this.
