The weak, vacillating character becomes changed to one of strength and steadfastness. The EGW passage directly echoes the concept of transformation into Christ's image through the Holy Spirit, as described in 2 Corinthians 3:18. The idea of being changed and strengthened by the Spirit to reflect Christ's character is central to both passages.
