EGW directly quotes Revelation 20:11-12.
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:"
Both passages describe a scene of judgment where the Son of Man/God sits on a throne and gathers all nations before him. While EGW quotes Revelation 20, the description of the Son of Man sitting on his throne in glory in Matthew 25 provides a parallel scene of judgment.
"As soon as the books of record are opened, and the eye of Jesus looks upon the wicked, they are conscious of every sin which they have ever committed. They see just where their feet diverged from the path of purity and holiness, just how far pride and rebellion have carried them in the violation of the law of God. The seductive temptations which they encouraged by indulgence in sin, the blessings perverted, the messengers of God despised, the warnings rejected, the waves of mercy beaten back by the stubborn, unrepentant heart—all appear as if written in letters of fire. "For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad."
The EGW passage illustrates the principle of Luke 8:17, that nothing is secret and all will be revealed. The wicked are made conscious of their sins, which were previously hidden, demonstrating the principle in action.

Both passages describe books being opened and the judgment of the dead based on what is written in those books. The EGW passage provides a vivid description of what that judgment might entail, expanding on the concept presented in Revelation 20:12.

"But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;"
While 1 Corinthians 1:23 is a general statement about preaching Christ crucified, the EGW passage provides a detailed panoramic view of the events leading to the crucifixion. The cross is central to both, and the EGW passage elaborates on the significance of Christ's sacrifice, making this a valid thematic parallel.
