"Parental Cares Although the cares that came upon us in connection with the publishing work and other branches of the cause involved much perplexity, the greatest sacrifice which I was called to make in connection with the work was to leave my children frequently to the care of others. LS 165"
"And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life."
Both passages address the sacrifice of family for the sake of religious work. Matthew 19:29 speaks of forsaking family for Christ's name, and the EGW passage describes the sacrifice of leaving her children for her work. The theme of sacrifice is present in both.
