"holy angels in the glorious courts of heaven, where all is peace and gladness; and it was a sad and bitter change to wake up to the realities of mortal life. LS 68.1"
"Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
Both passages contrast the joy and peace of a heavenly realm with the difficulties and sadness of earthly life. The idea of "fulness of joy" in God's presence parallels the "peace and gladness" of heaven.
