"Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."
Both passages describe a time of great anxiety and fear as people observe the events unfolding in the world. While EGW doesn't directly quote Luke 21:26, the theme of people being overwhelmed by the signs of the times is present in both.
"But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;"
Both passages deal with the idea of future events being revealed, but the connection is weak. Daniel 2:28 speaks specifically of God revealing secrets to Nebuchadnezzar about the latter days, while the EGW passage speaks more generally about people observing current events and sensing an impending crisis. The thematic overlap is present, but not strong enough to warrant a high confidence.
