Ellen White directly references Daniel 10:2-6 in this passage.
"If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;"
Both passages emphasize the importance of seeking wisdom diligently. EGW uses the example of Daniel seeking wisdom and quotes the relevant verses from Daniel 10.
"Daniel talked with God. Heaven was opened before him. But the high honors granted him were the result of humiliation and earnest seeking. All who believe with the heart the word of God will hunger and thirst for a knowledge of His will. God is the author of truth. He enlightens the darkened understanding and gives to the human mind power to grasp and comprehend the truths which He has revealed. SL 49.1"
"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."
Both passages connect a desire for righteousness/knowledge of God's will with a feeling of hunger and thirst. EGW directly references the concept of hungering and thirsting.
"This description is similar to that given by John when Christ was revealed to him upon the Isle of Patmos. No less a personage than the Son of God appeared to Daniel. Our Lord comes with another heavenly messenger to teach Daniel what would take place in the latter days. SL 49.3"
"And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:"
