When will the seal happen

The sealing of God's people is a process that concludes just before the close of human probation. It is described as a spiritual and intellectual "settling into the truth" so firmly that the individual becomes immovable (LDE 219). This work is currently ongoing, as the present hour is designated as the time for preparation, during which individuals must seek to be without spot or deceit before God (5T 216.2). The seal will never be placed upon those who are impure, ambitious, or world-loving; therefore, the character must be purified now (2TT 71.1).

The final application of the seal occurs during a specific global crisis involving the Sabbath. When the light of the fourth commandment has been clearly presented and a legal decree commands the observance of a false sabbath, individuals must choose their allegiance (Ev 235.2). At this point, those who choose to obey God’s law rather than earthly mandates receive the seal of God, while those who submit to the earthly power receive the mark of the beast (GC 605.2). This decision draws the final line of distinction between those who serve God and those who do not (GC 605.2).

The sealing process must be completed before Jesus finishes His intercessory work in the heavenly sanctuary. He will not leave the most holy place until every case has been decided for either salvation or destruction (CET 100). Once the sealing is finished and the people of God are prepared for the final shaking, Jesus will lay aside His priestly attire and clothe Himself with garments of vengeance (EW 36). Only after this work is concluded will the seven last plagues be poured out upon the earth (EW 36).
