EGW directly quotes and expands upon the concept of Christ as the 'tried stone' and 'sure foundation' from Isaiah 28:16.
"Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded."
While not a direct quote, the EGW passage echoes the theme of Christ as the cornerstone and the security found in believing in Him, as presented in 1 Peter 2:6. The language and imagery are very similar.
