"I was shown the work of Satan in first blinding the eyes of the Jews so that they would not receive Jesus as their Saviour; and next in leading them, through envy because of His mighty works, to desire His life. Satan entered one of Christ's own followers and led him on to betray Him into the hands of His enemies, that they might crucify the Lord of life and glory. EW 208.1"
"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."
Both passages discuss Satan's influence on the Jews and their rejection/murder of Jesus. Both passages discuss the Jews' attempt to cover up the resurrection by bribing the Roman guard to lie. The EGW passage expands on this by mentioning the resurrection of many witnesses, but the core event is the same.

The EGW passage explicitly refers to the story of Stephen in Acts, specifically mentioning how the people stopped their ears to avoid being convinced by his testimony. This is a direct reference to Acts 7:57.
