Both passages describe the scattering of the Jewish people among the nations. Deuteronomy 28:64 is a prophecy of this scattering, while EGW describes the historical fulfillment of this prophecy after the destruction of Jerusalem.

Both passages refer to a gift from God. John 4:10 speaks of 'the gift of God' in the context of Jesus offering living water. EGW speaks of the 'unspeakable gift' of Christ as a personal savior. While not a direct quote, the thematic connection is present.
