The EGW passage directly reflects the principle in 1 Corinthians 15:33, that negative influences can corrupt morals. The EGW passage speaks about removing people from negative influences to improve their moral strength.

And so far as possible, all who are seeking to recover health should place themselves amid country surroundings where they can have the benefit of outdoor life. Nature is God's physician. The EGW passage speaks of nature as God's physician and the health benefits of the natural world. While Psalm 19:1 speaks of God's glory being declared through creation, the connection is that both passages highlight the power and goodness of God as seen in nature.
