"Quench not the Spirit."
The EGW passage directly addresses the idea of 'silencing the Spirit' through sin, which is a clear parallel to the warning in 1 Thessalonians 5:19 to 'Quench not the Spirit.'
"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
Both passages discuss how sin creates a separation between God and humanity. Isaiah 59:2 explicitly states this separation, while the EGW passage describes how willful sin 'separates the soul from God.'
